Those games August, are they NCAA legal?

Looks like they were playing in an int'l tournament. It's something the NCAA lets teams do every couple of years.

Very important to do. Great tool to recruit to. Get a trip out of the country every four years. And if you time your redshirt right, you can go twice.

It's also a huge benefit if you can do one in early August, b/c the NCAA allows you practice time leading up to it.

You can play two exhibition games, or do 1 exhibition game and a private scrimmage with another D1 team.

I heard from a buddy that they will go to Natchitoches to scrimmage NW St. These scrimmages must be closed to public though. Probably more bang for your buck from a coaching perspective to do that.

Yes, those scrimmages are closed to the public.

I was not aware of that Int tourny rule , but that can be used as a real nice advantage coming into the season esp early on. Learn something new all the time !
