It's a good thing I'm not in charge on Reinhardt Dr. because I would have come in Monday morning and given Bustle his pink slip. Make a statement today and get your fan base excited about something. This football season is nearly over and they have had little to be excited about. Quit trying to keep from hurting the feelings of this coaching staff, they are grown men who know the name of the game.
Bottom line, we were a blocked kick (UNT) and an interception (Ark. St) away from being winless. 0-10...enough said...case closed!

Didn't you just post in another thread about growing the RCAF? There is nothing that the Ath Dept can do that will send a bigger message that they are getting serious about football, than getting rid of him now, or at the very least saying he won't be back. And with the way they've tooled around with football for the past three years, not to mention stringing basketball along much longer than they needed to, they could really do themselves a favor by sending that type of message.
I won't be apologizing, there is no need for me to do such a thing. How is my handle inappropriate?
You say you have given a generous amount of funding to the University, but why not the RCAF? It's been around for nearly 2 years now and has been marketed very well in the area.
They are not going to do that to Coach Bustle, he has earned that much. I want him gone as much as anyone, hell I was all for firing him after the McNeese game. But, Bustle has done what he was hired to do and EVERYONE should be thankful for that. There is no need to publicly announce that he is fired unless we are going after a coach who is not currently coaching right now. No OC/DC or HC from a FCS, Mid Major or BCS program will announce that they are going to take the UL job before the regular season is complete. So it is pointless to fire the man right now when doing so at the end of the season will be just as effective. The AD's office can compile a list of potential candidates and evaluate coaches prior to the end of the season and I am pretty sure that is what is happening. They are making calls and gauging interest each day.
Bustle did what he was hired to do by the 2005 season. Since then we have been wedged into a state of mediocrity and are beginning to backslide. Coaching college football is a job, just like any other job. If you were a business owner and your employee was adversly affecting your business would you fire them now or wait a few months later because they earned that much?
