UL's Albert Nastasi Hurt in Saints Game

NEW ORLEANS - The member of the officiating sideline chain crew who was injured during the Cleveland Browns' 30-17 victory over the New Orleans Saints was conscious and in stable condition, his son said Sunday night.

Al Nastasi Jr. was in the neuro intensive care unit at Ochsner Hospital. Al Nastasi III declined to go into details about his father's injury, saying he wanted to wait until doctors had more time to monitor the situation.

I dont know if you saw it or not but Mr Nastasi took a brutal hit. Classy move by Roby and his wife to visit after the game. Hope the guy recovers quickly!!

Al was a coach for years at East Jeff-----I called him the lil Dago ---He could fly--I think his PR was 9.3 or .4 in the 100 yd dash ---was a great football player at St. Aloysius in NO and would have been great at UL---God I hope he is OK!!!! Our prayers go out for him!!!! I forgot the Lady's name that taught with him at E Jay but she posted on this board and went by the Eaux!!! Hope she gets the news!!!
