I see your point crawfish, but I am of the younger (I guess) generation and I am tired of players being treated like kids. They are ADULTS! We can all agree that we are frustrated with the state of the program.

look dude, if you are gonna turn around and say it is just a game, that means you had no intention of putting your heart into that game to win. As a matter of fact you might as well walk off the field. If you had played athletics before you would know, I know that when you practice hard and sacrafice all your time into the game you have to be discouraged and to say it is just a game? And on top of all that coming from one of your supposed leaders on the team. I see why we are where we are.
I did play athletics. I don't know if it changes your opinion, but Grant wasn't dressed out. I'm sure he was trying to stick up for his teammate, and short of coming into the stands to fight a fan what was he supposed to do.
I know that since you played athletics you realized the importance of sticking up for your teammates as well. Also, I think anyone who is questioning Grants Fleming's dedication to this program is silly. He was one of the few top flight local athletes to actually suit up and play for this program when he had opportunities elsewhere.
The more the coaches baby the players the harsher the fans are to those players. In the old days, you had coaches like Bear Bryant who were tyrants and basically ran a bootcamp that turned boys into men, now we have coaches that heal with hugs, and as long as that remains, the fans will be rough on the players. Guys like Robe are what you want running your programs. Look at schools like Alabama with Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, or Bob Stoops. I really don't see these guys making excuses when their teams play like garbage, but apparently, bustle thinks that he got this team motivated to play this game...remember, it's everyone's fault except his, just ask him, he'll tell you.
grant fleming top flight? I would say good ball player but not top flight.
He also got a bad break, because I was in Monroe two years ago when we just handed it to them. And ever since that injury to him that night he was never the same.
I played athletics also, and Grant shouldn't be worried about the fans. His team was in the process of getting skull drug across the field and he told me "it's just a game". How about, he being a leader of the team, getting on his team's back just like me and trying to get them to play better. That's what a leader does. A leader doesn't talk to fans, he gets his team to play better.
