UL Football College Version of the Saints

I have said it before and I'll say it again, our team is college footballs of the New Orleans Saints. Now, before y'all say the Saints are winning games how can we be like them let me clarify. When I say college version of the Saints I mean before Sean Payton and Drew Brees. This is why I compare the Cajuns to the Saints, before Rickey Bustle our coach was Jerry Baldwin and we had an absolutely horrible team similar to Mike Ditka before Jim Haslett. Now we have Bustle just like the Saints had Haslett, for both of these coaches mediocrity seems the plateau of their success. If this is any indication ( I am not a psychic ) our next coach should be the one to take our team to the promised land, similar to the way Payton did with the Saints. Who agrees with me on this?

I like your optimism but sorry you can not compare an NFL team and a mid-major college football team this way. It was a lot more than just a coaching change that evolved the Saints into a Super Bowl winning team. I don't think it's fair to compare draft picks, free-agents, and trades vs. recruiting high school kids (especially with UL's history.)
    Apples vs. Oranges

I will agree Cajun fans and Saints fans (not recently) both have a lot of passion and have experienced a lot of disappointment in the past.

Coached by Rickey Bustle we improved from STUNK to Average 2002 Present
Coached by ???? we go from Average to Greatness and start winning championships!!!

    Saints
Coached by Mike Ditka we STUNK
Coached by Jim Haslett we improved from STUNK to Average

Beating USC in the Sugar Bowl January 2014.

I'd take losing to USM in the NO bowl.

I said before Payton. I agree there were many factors at work for the Saints situation, but at the end of the day it started with Sean Payton. He made a lot of the changes that they needed happen and it is possible for a college coach to make changes isn't it? A team's success starts with the coach, he or she is the one that is responsible for motivating the players and keeping them focused. Btw I'm comparing Bustle to Haslett not Payton.
