LOUISIANA La. — After garnering several commitments from players who play the guard position, the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns added a post player in Erin Kacey of Beaumont, Texas.

Kacey, a 6-foot-2 center, gave the Cajuns her pledge after visiting with them last week, selecting UL over Lamar and McNeese State.

“I really liked the people and the community,” Kacey said. “I didn’t make any other visits, because I didn’t feel the need to once I visited with UL.”

Lamar is her hometown university, so Kacey was able to see the Cardinals a lot helping make her decision a lot easier.

“I’ve seen Lamar a lot, but I didn’t know anything about McNeese,” Kacey said. “But when I went on my visit to UL, I knew that’s where I wanted to be.”
