    Yeah, but not to worry. Dallas Morris had four errors last night.

    He had three all of last season.

    I think you call that a glitch.

    I couldn't stay long, don't know the final score, but I did get a picture of the Incredible Hawke's swing that resulted in the 1st Home Run of the series.

    I also got to meet SunGrasses, can't wait to meet Mr. SunGrasses.

    well imagine my surprise to find myself in your picture..

    red came back and ate first.. down 7-6 rallied with mccarthy and dees knocking in tying and go ahead runs.. think i heard 11-7.. series tied at 1 apiece.. who's eating beans on monday?

    ps. not sure if it means anything although, i wore sunglasses .. (smiles)

    Game 3 of Fall World Series will be Thursday at 6 p.m.

    LOUISIANA La. – The Red team used a five-run eighth inning to avenge Monday night’s loss with a 9-7 victory over the White team in game two of the annual Red-White Fall World Series here at Moore Field. The series is now tied 1-1.

    Justin Boyette received the win for the Red team, going 2 2/3 innings, allowing no runs on three hits. Senior Kraig Schambough received the loss for the White team, allowing five runs in one inning of work.

    In the bottom of the first, Josh Landry hit a one-out double to left center. Landry advanced to third on a Chris Johns balk. Massiatte then reached on a fielding error by second baseman Matt Hicks. Landry scored on the play, giving Red a 1-0 lead. With two outs, senior first baseman Phillip Hawke sent a two-run home run over the left field fence, extending Red’s lead to 3-0.

    The White team put up two runs in the top of the second, trimming the Red team lead to 3-2. With one out, Matt Bounds singled up the middle and later advanced to second on a stolen base. Matt Casbon followed with an RBI triple to center field, plating Bounds. Justin Morgan singled through the left side past a diving Dallas Morris to score Casbon.

    The Red team responded to retake its three-run lead. Jameson Parker drew a lead-off walk. Landry followed with a triple to left center, plating Parker. Massiatte singled up the middle, scoring Landry, to increase Red’s lead to 5-2.

    In the top of the fourth, Casbon sent a two-out solo home run over the left center field, making the score 5-3 in favor of the Red team.

    The Red team tacked on another run in the bottom half of the fourth to increase its lead to 6-3.

    White took the lead in the top of the sixth inning 7-6 after plating four runs. Guerrero drew a one-out walk and later advanced to second on a wild pitch. Alex Preciado drew a second walk, giving White two runners on base. John Coker singled home Guerrero, while Preciado advanced to second. Casbon drew the third walk of the inning. Preciado then scored following a Justin Morgan hit by pitch. Micah Cockrell reached on a fielding error by Morris, which plated Coker. Bourque then drove in Casbon with an RBI single. Morgan was thrown out at home to end the inning.

    Red team took the lead for good in the bottom of the eight inning. Morris led off the inning by reaching on a Nicky Prather throwing error and also advanced to second on the play. Phillip Hawke reached on a Cockrell fielding error. Hawke later advanced on a passed ball, while Morris advanced to third. John McCarthy plated Morris with an RBI single to left field. Ray Dees followed up with a two RBI single up the middle, scoring Jefferies Tatford and Hawke. After a Cody Martin strikeout, Jameson Parker sent an RBI sacrifice fly to center field, which scored McCarthy. Dees later scored on a wild pitch. Massiatte grounded out to end the inning.

    Casbon led the White team at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI. McCarthy led the Red team, going 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI. Dees went 1-for-3 with three RBI.

    The annual Red-White Fall World Series will continue Thursday with game three set to begin at 6 p.m

    Something is not jiving.

    I was there for the first couple of innings and I thought (I could be wrong) it was 1-0 Red at the end of 1 and 3-0 after Hawke's Home Run.

    I wasn't there for the whole game so can someone correct the story above? What doesn't fit?

    LOUISIANA La. – A three-run fourth inning and a strong pitching performance by senior Kevin Ardoin propelled the White team to a 3-1 victory in game three of the Red-White Fall World Series here Thursday night at Moore Field. The White team now leads the series 2-1.

    Ardoin and Red starting pitcher Ian Pecoraro each held the opposition to just one hit during the first three innings.

    Both teams exchanged runs in the fourth inning. In the top half of the fourth, Josh Landry led off with a single to left field for the Red team. Landry was later thrown out attempting to steal second base. Adam Massiatte then doubled to right center. With two outs, Dallas Morris sent an RBI single up the middle to score Massiatte giving Red a 1-0 lead. Jefferies Tatford followed with a single up the middle, advancing Morris to second. Morris was then thrown out at third on a Ray Dees fielder’s choice to end the inning.

    From there, the White team would dominate the game en route to the victory.

    In the bottom frame, Leonard Guerrero reached on a fielding error by Jameson Parker. Alex Preciado followed with a single to right field. After a Matt Casbon walk, Matt Hicks hit a sacrifice fly to right field, which scored Guerrero to tie the game. A throwing error by Phillip Hawke later scored Casbon and Preciado to give White a 3-1 advantage. Justin Merendino grounded out to end the inning.

    Over the last five innings, both teams combined for seven hits. The Red team committed three errors, while the White team committed only one error.

    Ardoin received the win, pitching six complete innings. Ardoin allowed one run on six hits with four strikeouts. Hunter Moody came on in relief to earn the save, pitching 2 1/3 nearly-perfect innings of work, allowing only one hit. Micah Cockrell finished the game for the White team to retire the two of the last three Red batters.

    Pecoraro got the loss for the Red team, going 3 2/3 innings. Pecoraro allowed three runs – all unearned – on two hits, while striking out four batters.

    The annual Red-White Fall World Series will resume Saturday with game four beginning at 12 p.m., while game five will follow 30 minutes after the completion of the first game.

    Game 4 was first half of a doulbe header, and was delayed 30 minutes by swarm of bees

    LOUISIANA La. – The Red team stayed alive to play on Sunday. In game one of the doubleheader, the Red team took a 3-1 lead in the second inning and never looked back en route to a 6-1 victory.

    In the bottom of the first inning, White struck first to take a 1-0 lead. Devon Bourque led off with a double to left field. Justin Merendino and Micah Cockrell both struck out swinging. Leonard Guerrero followed with a two-out RBI single to score Bourque, while advancing to second on a throwing error by Dallas Morris. Alex Preciado struck out to end the inning.

    The Red team responded with a three-run second inning. Phillip Hawke and Morris led off the inning with back-to-back home runs, quickly giving Red a 2-1 advantage. With two outs, Trey Meche was hit by a Jered Salazar pitch. Cody Martin followed up with a single to left field, advancing Meche to third. Jameson Parker then hit an RBI single to left field to score Meche, giving Red a 3-1 lead.

    With one out and a 2-2 count on Matt Casbon in the bottom of the fourth, play was suspended after a swarm of bees began pestering Red outfielders Trey Meche, Josh Landry and Cody Martin.

    When play resumed nearly 30 minutes later, Jeremy Whipple came on in relief of Red starting pitcher Austin Faught. Whipple hit Casbon, then retired Matt Hicks and Justin Morgan to end the inning.

    The Red team added to its lead in the fifth inning. Phillip Hawke’s RBI double scored Josh Landry, increasing Red’s lead to 4-1. In the subsequent inning, Red tacked on two more runs to increase its lead to 6-1.

    Faught received the win for the Red team, going 3 1/3 innings allowing one run on just two hits. Whipple earned the save, holding White to no runs on two hits in 3 2/3 innings of relief.

    Salazar received the loss in game one for the White team. The Breaux Bridge native went 4 2/3 innings, giving up four runs on eight hits, while striking out four. Schambough relieved Salazar in the fifth, holding Red to two runs on three hits in 2 1/3 innings.

In the bottom frame, Coker hit a solo homerun over the left centerfield fence, increasing Red’s lead to 3-1.

    With two outs in the top of the fifth, White starter Brandt Sanders was relieved in favor of Jeremy Collins. Sanders went 4 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on four hits with six strikeouts. Adam Massiatte scored on a fielding error by Jeff Cook to trim White’s lead to 3-2.

    In the bottom of the sixth, the White team padded its lead with a four-run frame to extend its lead to 7-2.

    Game 6 at 12noon today IF needed game seven will take place :30 minutes following game 6
