TROY, Ala. — Despite missing three injured starters, UL's defense still found a way to force a season-high five takeaways on the road against Sun Belt Conference giant Troy.
The Ragin' Cajuns certainly didn't help themselves down the stretch, committing all four of their turnovers in the second half of a 31-24 loss Saturday night at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
"A game like this is going to come down to two or three plays," UL coach Rickey Bustle said. "We tried everything. We ran a fake punt. We went for it on fourth down. We tried to win the game."
