I sue to stand in the tunnel after games holding the UL hand sign up and the football players would shoot it back.

However, I have almost six thousand pictures I took at practice, events, media day, post game, between 1999 and 2003 and not one player or fan was showing the UL hand sign.

I have thousands more pictures I took from 2004 to 2008 before David Walker kicked me out. By then it had caught on nd I have lots of UL hand signs in those years.
Thank you sir for helping push this along. (I still stand by my first hand experience on this)

Were you part of the media during that time?

I got this group of huge fans to pose in 2005 and two of them had never heard of it.

    Yes but for this site.

I also did color for Tuerlings football. (1 season)

And later ran Ticker tape advertisements during games on the old scoreboard.

This is the first picture ever taken of Cayenne doing the hand sign.

He did it regularly after that

I had to show players after 2002 I went to every media day from 2002 to 2008. Im looking for the movie where I showed CC but it isn't labeled.

If anyone has a picture prior I like to see it. Not one hand sign in the movies of the players going into the stands or coming out of the stand or the position pictures or the movie set up or Big Lynn. Nada

    CC was the first.

2005 one (or two) players vs FIU in this picture not sure who it was.

In the last 22 years this thread has been viewed over 3000 times but at the time I cant imagine it being seen more than a few hundred.

No one in 2002 said they had seen it before.

My sister and brother-inlaw are sign language translaters.

The little I know was my impetus.

Great idea. UL needs to make a class called Spirit 101 i think Texas A&M has it for incoming freshmen, but no reason why we couldnt make it as a class also.

That is one way we can get student’s involved

    Turbine you game lol?
