Overall, a great effort by our boys and (gasp!) coaching staff. Blackmon was too much to handle tonight.

BLARG WHY ARE THEY SHOWING LSU HIGHLIGHTS DURING OUR GAME.

    A couple of worthless observations:

    1. Kick the ball. The kid can kick it to the 10. Try to hold them to the 35. A squib kick to the 30 is not working.
    2. If you are going to put in #17, run more than one play. Even Tebow would have a hard time if EVERYONE knew what the play is.
    3. Masson is a good QB, but panics under pressure. As a Jr, this may be a fatal flaw.
    4. This is good practice for our DB's. Bentley seems to be the only one who looks back to find the ball. Hopefully this is a learning experience.

Overall, not bad. Efforts like this will win SBC games. The coaches need to do better.

    1. Kicking and Kickoff coverage kills us.
    2. Our CB's missed several opportunities to make plays by not playing the football.
    3. Flat 2nd half again concerns me.

This F'n coaching staff has never made a 2nd half adjustment ever!

By the way Rickey Bustle coached Michael Vick! I luv that one, classic!

The WR from OSU just said postgame they made no halftime adjustments.
And BTW, if you are winning at the half, what halftime adjustments would you have suggested?

More safety help for our CB's for starters..

Let me also add... I am not against getting rid of Bustle. His "wildcat" package alone is grounds for firing, IMHO. That said, he is competent. If we fire him it will probably take 400-500K to MAYBE get someone better. I am still comfortable letting the season play itself out.

That was the best we've looked against a legit top 25 in a long time. Obviously we lost the plot in the 2nd half. Impressed with our freshman play especially the receivers. Masson played as well as you can probably ask of him. There was the bad pick and intentional grounding (also the bogus intl grd) but I thought he really threw the ball well all night minus a few that got away.

I come out feeling better about the rest of the season than going in. Not happy with the 2nd half, in fact very disappointed that we didn't carry the momentum and play over, but loved our heart even once the crowd was out of it.

Yeah maybe ULM and WKU, but there's no way we beat Troy next week with an effort like the one we gave in the second half.

i'm high on how the players did. they showed they could perform well against a very good team. the problem is the willingness, or lack there of, of the coaches to try and make the adjustments to try and stop the plays that OSU ,and every other team we played for that matter, in the second half of the game. i think the o-line played well only allowing i think 1 sack. masson threw for 300+ yards. our running backs played well. our wide outs played well with fewer dropped balls. defense played very well considering the circumstances of losing several players during the game to injury. i just can't get over the coaching problems that we seem to have.

Thank You! Just because we're winning at half doesn't mean we have nothing to improve on.
