Places OSU fans should make sure to go while on/around campus?

I'm making the drive down to Lafayette for the OSU game tonight, but I was wondering if there were any bars, restaurants, tailgate areas or other places on / around campus (or anywhere, really) that you guys would recommend stopping by while I'm in town. I should hopefully be in around 3:00 at the latest. Any suggestions?

Legends on bertand is a local bar that alot of fans go to and it's only about a mile from the stadium, downtown on Jefferson St. is cool it has probably 15 bars and 6 or 7 restaurants. You will be welcomed at just about any tailgate spot with food and beer. Olde Tyme grocery has good poboys. Judice inn has great burgers, blue dog cafe is a good sit down dinner with great Cajun food.

If you get in at 3, head directly to the stadium. Wander around looking black and orange; that will get you more food, beer, and friends than you can handle in one day.

Please stop first at the big oak tree up against the far West fence of the stadium parking lot. Have some beer and gumbo with the Eauque tree gang.

You really should see Cypress Lake on campus behind the student union. Then, travel to The Swamp, affectionately named our football stadium, for some great tailgating. See you there!

If you will be getting into town around 3:00 pm, head straight to the stadium! The stadium is not located directly on the main campus, although it is just a short distance away. If you decide to come out to Cajun Field early please come by and visit with us at the Krewe de Chew. We are a tailgating group that is set up near the southeast entrance to the stadium just behind the red brick maintenance building (it is the only structure anywhere in the tailgating/parking lot). The cypress swamp is a definate must see. However, you won't see any gators because of this weather. To answer the question that you are probably thinking, yes we really do have gators on campus.

ROAD RALLY

The OSU Road Rally is making its first trip to the Bayou state! Cajun Field is not conducive to welcome the team off the buses at the stadium. Therefore, the Road Rally will be held at the entrance of the Crowne Plaza, the OSU team hotel, located at 1801 West Pinhook Road.

The OSU Pep Band and spirit squad will lead the rally beginning at 5:25 pm. All fans are encouraged to join us as we send the OSU Cowboy football team and coaches off to victory.

The “official OSU party headquarters” is Pete's Family Sports Grill. Located approximately 4 miles from the team hotel and 2 miles from the stadium, Pete's is the place to go for great Cajun food, cold beers, and watching games on one of 44 TV's. Pete's opens at 11AM and closes at 2AM daily; the kitchen stays open until midnight, so it's also the perfect spot to grab a bite to eat after the game. Pete's is also very child-friendly, featuring a wide variety of kid-friendly food and arcade games for kids of all ages. Owners Mark and Glen Hutchinson are excited to welcome the Cowboy faithful.
