Many folks on these forums aren't happy unless they have something to crab about....if there isn't anything they will make it up. and.....if you aren't negative then the sarcasm starts. Just let people have fun.

I think this is absolutely rediculous how all of you are talking smack about this Krewe. This is an area that fans my age (20's) are excited about visiting every game! Not only are the welcoming of everyone, but they are fun and full of excitment. These are the fans that have followed UL for years... THEY ARE THE TRUE FANS! You all need to move on... we aren't a team that people are going to look and think we're idiots if the roosta dance is televised, they will think that the Cajuns look like a team with enthusiatic fans. I think you all need to stop being so petty.
PEOPLE! No one is saying anything about the members of KdC. Stop suggesting that ppl are ripping the good folks of KdC. You guys have jumped from one extreme to the next, over rationalized, and have completely derailed the main idea of this thread. Some believe this ritual should not be televised, THAT'S IT!

I am a proud daughter to one of the men in KdC. I have taken many of my friends throughout my college years and recently to the KdC tent and they have all asked me to go back EVERY GAME!! I roosta proudly... as a UL fan... as a VERY PROUD daughter and hopefully, one day, if I'm lucky enough, as a KdC member!
ROOSTA ON KDC!!!
Sorry if I missed understood what you were implying. But you appear to have misunderstood me also so let me clarify I do not have anything against the Krewe or the roosta. I often actually get a little closer to the Krewe to watch it. My only point and an opinion I fill strongly about is it doesn't need to be on national TV. It only lends to negative sterotypes that people who are not from here have against us. If the game were on MY KLAF or Cox 4 where people understand the culture then go for it.
Who are we to decide what ESPN should air or not air? I don't want them to show the massacre on the football field. I don't want them to show a half filled student side for the 1st half and a 1/10th filled student side in the 2nd half. That will be more embarrassing than a 30 second clip of the krewe.

I am a neighboring krewe de chew tailgator at tailgate #39 and I have been known to do the roosta dance after I've had a drink...or six. They are a great group of Cajun fans who are always so welcoming of the opponent's fans and anyone else who happens to walk by. The roosta dance is a great theme song and dance for their tailgating group...just a bunch of old farts who can't roosta like they use ta (and I say that in a very endearing way)!!!
I love the passion for the Cajun culture on both sides...some wanting to fight a misconception that so many people outside of this state have about our culture and some just being proud of how they celebrate and have fun at cajun tailgating. This is great!
NOW, let's come together and put all of this energy into showing the ESPN audience and Oklahoma State fans a great time.
Good Food, Good Music and Good Fun with a Welcoming Spirit....CAJUN STYLE!!!!!
I'm pretty sure I can still Roosta like I use ta b/c she still shows me her "O" face!!!
A couple observations.....
1. Upon starting to watch the game on my DVR, they showed the roosta dance in the 1st 2 minutes of the broadcast.
2. The sun still came up this morning.
Possible overreaction by some jealous tailgaters? I think so.
