IceGators trade Kubaliak
Gators trade ex-Hunstville defenseman Kubaliak to Knoxville for Travis Martell and future considerations.
Kubaliak was a big addition the the defense in the offseason and would have been a very valuable player this season. Martell brings in a little more size at 6' 5" and 225 pounds. Last season, Martell scored 30 points in 55 games with the Knoxville IceBears. Martell is a reliable defenseman and will drop the gloves if needed.
The reason for the trade is unknown at this time but it will be interesting to see which player has a more successful season.
