The two Saturday games were against JUCO's from Texas. Since they weren't officially keeping scores, it was fans or team staff who kept track. I think the first game against San Jacinto was about 7-0. Ashley Brignac pitched the first game with relief from Paige Cavallin & Shelbee Rogers. Christi Orgeron had a couple of home runs, and Taryn Broussard had one as well. Donna Bourgeois pitched the second game with relief by Allie Chenault against Stephen F Austin, and I think the final score was about 5-0. Christi Orgeron again hit a homer.
The Sunday game was a complete game pitched by freshman Christina Hamilton. After giving up the three run homer in the first, she did a great job of limiting the Aggies until giving up a solo home run in the bottom of the 7th after the Cajuns had taken a 8-3 lead. She also didn't give up a hit to freshman all american catcher Meghan May in the game. Nerissa Myers made a great over the shoulder catch running to center field on a flare by May to rob her of a hit. The offense contributed with a number of player to total 15 hits against the Aggies ace Melissa Dumezich, with Megan Granger getting her first HR of the fall.
Thanks! Getting excited about next season already!
