Well, while it was a win, I think we all wanted to see this team finally close someone out and finish the game going away. Sadly, when we scored in the 3rd quarter, I just knew that the game was going to come down to the end. I figured they would score and then force us to punt since we couldn't run the ball all game. I just hoped that we could have played the time of possession game and run the clock out grinding it out but that was not to happen. We put pressure on Dodge in the first half and played good defense but they made the adjustments needed, not us. That is what the fans will complain about since we can't seem to finish anybody off once we get the lead.

I am off my Rocker then.
For the Thousand-th time: INABILITY TO MAKE HALF-TIME ADJUSTMENTS is the BIGGEST problem possessed by "Get-Rid-of" Bustle .....
By the way, what is this about David Walker not firing him ..."he's on his way out..."? is "he" Walker or -- more hopefully -- Bustle.???

Bustle brought us as far as he could by 2005. By 2006, he put up an old tent at the same location he stopped in '05 and camped out. In 07, he bought a used trailer to replace the tent. In 08, the trailer burned to the ground but he stayed -- in a card board box. 09 came and he had his tent back. Here we are in 10, and he is looking for a "New-to-him" trailer. Lets evict him before 11. The road he is on looks like one you would have found in the Lower 9th after Katrina......

I feel pretty much the same as Turb! We WON a conference game ON THE ROAD without key players AND against a team playing on HIGH emotion after losing one of their own. We ALSO won this game on a GREAT special teams play, not because the other team screwed up MORE than we did!! THIS ONE, let's take with a SMILE on and let's see what happens the rest of the way.

I was listening to a national sports talk show in Houston today over lunch and Travis Rogers (the ex Jim Rome guy) was intervewing the highly respected Houston sports columnist, Richard Justice, and he was asked if any win in the NFL is a good win or if some are expected wins that teams are disappointed when they sneak out a victory. He said in the NFL, EVERY win is a win and you take what you can get because every team is capable of beating you. He said that in college, however, that is not the case. He said, if Texas were playing "a team like" Louisiana-Lafayette for example, Mack Brown would and should expect to be able to plan for playing a lot of players and trying new wrinkles throughout the game and anything short of a big win would be disappointment. While watching highlights of the ULM vs. Auburn game on ESPN that Auburn won 52-3, the announcer called it a Pop Warner game, referring to Louisiana-Monroe's ineptitude. I hate it when we are referred to as a hyphenated school and "a team like" that. Unfortunately, these are both examples of how our respective schools are lumped together by our names and conference affiliation and how we are referred to and thought of on a national level, at least by some people. Until we find a way to get more respect on the field, that negative perception will continue. We'll see if our appearance on national tv on Friday will help or hurt that perception.

I'm afraid that's because in the Sun Belt, anything over 15,000 is considered good.

You notice that you never hear people use Troy in that reference, that's because they have beaten people they're not supposed to beat and even when they lose they scare the crap out of teams they were " not suppose" to compete with
