  1. Ragin' Cajuns 2004: Rate Julie Simon-Dronet's job performance

Julie Simon-Dronet works for the University of Louisiana as its Director of Public Relations and News Services, Licensing Director. She does a lot more including but not limited to managing public relations, news services, athletic apparel licensing, athletic promotions and marketing programs for the University of Louisiana.

She develops and initiates public relations activities, including visual identity campaigns, special events, and community awareness projects. She is also responsible for oversight of media releases, broadcast promotions, videos, La Louisiane magazine and other promotional activities. source

On a scale of 10 being great, 1 being poor, how would you rate the job Julie Simon-Dronet is doing overall, but specifically as it relates to the advancement of athletics at the University of Louisiana.

I didn't see any negative numbers so I had to vote 1 as my rating.

    For me, it's personal.

with all the Louisiana @ Lafayette ~~~~ floating around, how can anyone give her better than a 5?

    We`are our own worst enemy......

She is a classic example of UL knowing its place....

Thankfully we took the bull by the horns, did an end around an produced UL gear on our own.

Dump and Jump. DUMP the Lafayette junk on EVERYTHING and JUMP in the polls. ULL is better than UL-LAFAYETTE. How could any marketing guru be so blind. I give her a 3 she is probably taking orders.

Get Lafayette off all items sold by the University. Put Ragin' Cajuns on T-shirts by itself if you have to. The old style helmet lovers will go for that one.

    I gave her a 3.

    Has attendance increased? Nope.
    Has excitement increased? Nope.
Are we still called Louisiana-Lafayette? Yep.

The only thing that keeps me from giving her a 1 is the fact that I can assume that she has very little to work with.

I'm assuming 1 being least satisfied, 10 being most satisfied, I voted 1. Along with Hotboudin, it's personal, and I don't think she has succeeded at promoting this University. I'd like to see a change, with some new, young, ragin blood heading our PR ship!

Bigearl, Hotboudin, if I may ask...why is it personal?

Well said Chuck. I would like to hear from the people who gave her a 10, and why.

    Is this a joke?

One public relations embarassment after another?

This has to be a joke of some kind... I can think of no one at UL [save maybe Raymond Blanco] who has done a worse job.

Just my opinion... but this person is not on our side.
