LAFAYETTE, LA - The Louisiana IceGators are excited to announce the return of five players from the 2009-10 team.
C.J. Tozzo (5'9", 175 lbs) (forward)
Paul D'Agostino (5'11", 190 lbs) (defensemen)
Tobias Karlsson (6'1", 203 lbs)
Jeff Bieber (6'2", 215 lbs)
Adam Dekker (6'3", 205 lbs) (goalie)

These five return to play in Louisiana for the 2010-11 season.

During the 2009-10 season, C.J. Tozzo played in 26 games and scored 4 goals. He also had 8 assists on the year. Prior to joining the IceGators last season he played for the Brooklyn Aces of the Eastern Professional Hockey League. While in Brooklyn he saw action in 49 games and scored 34 goals and had 62 assists.

Paul D'Agostino returns to the team after being one of the top defensemen in the Southern Professional Hockey League. Last season he appeared in 21 games for the IceGators. During the year he had four points and four assists. D'Agostino's +/- rating was +10, which ranked sixth in the SPHL amongst defensemen, and a .095 scoring percent ranking him third in the SPHL. The first half of the year D'Agostino spent time with the Evansville IceMen where he had two goals and eight assists.

Tobias Karlsson spent 55 games with the IceGators. He scored 2 goals and 10 assists and 70 penalty minutes. Karlsson's 55 game appearances ranks him 11th in the SPHL amongst defensemen.

Jeff Bieber is the last defensemen involved with this round of signings. Bieber only appeared in three games with the IceGators but spent 51 games with the Mississippi Surge. During his time with the Surge he scored three goals and ten assists. Prior to playing for the Surge he played four seasons for Nichols College. While with Nichols College, he scored 30 goals and 65 assists.

Adam Dekker is the first goalie signed by the IceGators for the 2010-11 season. With the IceGators he appeared in six games. During the six games he went 4-1 allowing 15 goals and 201 saves.

"This is a good group of players to have returning to the team," answered Head Coach Dave MacIsaac when asked about the signings. "All of these guys have spent time around winning programs and they know what it takes to win. Along with the other veteran signings this season, this team is setting up to be a strong team."
