I think putting a picture of the state on our helmet is very small school. Name me one major school with the state on the helmet. The fluer di lie is a bad idea. It's the Saints helmet and it also looks local. We shouldn't worry so much about making sure the nation knows where we're from. Get a good logo and please get a good mascot, stick with them and people will catch on.

It seems like everytime I see UL on TV the have a different name and a different logo. The rest of the world will never get it. I hate to say it, Our school has nothing but red and white that's been around for more than 10 years. We need TRADITION or we'll always be local.

good point also, But drop the U and just put the state. Picturing that still looks local to me. I like the ragin cajuns, it's us. Stick with it and build some tradition around it.

Leave the Helmets alone. We talk about traditions and all that. We have the most recognized Collegiate Name in the nation. Seeing Ragin Cajuns on there helmets, means only one thing. University of Louisiana-Lafayette. Let's get use to it and live with and stop stirring up things that don't need to be changed. Utilize the mascot name. We are not going to be U of L without the Lafayette anytime soon so, we just need to WIN football games and hope basketball , baseball , and softball get us in the SHOW every year. that's our only hope. Let's face our football program is not going to be there anytime soon. If we can't beat Eastern Michigan's, CFU, USF, FAU, FIU. ASU, MTSU, ULM, Troy, then we can't beat anybody. SORRY. Win or Lose I will still be there because I like Cajun Fans and Football Saturdays, but I am discouraged and have been waiting too long for BON Temps.
Despite my negative attitude at this point, I still Bleed Vermilion Red and White.

No Offense guys, but leave the damn helmets the way they are. You guys talk about having traditions. Ragin Cajuns is the one name recognition we have. When the TV fans see those 2 words, there is no other University in the nation. I like all the chat but I do not like all these changes that some of us, and I include myself, that we try and iniate with our opinion polls. Polls are important but let's let some things alone. This NAME "RAGIN CAJUN" is our recognition not "UL". Have a good time at the B'ball game.
