Northern Illinois has a picture image of its mascot on the helmet.
I preferred the interlocking NI logo they had before. It looked good like the Yankees NY logo. It would be an enhancement to the winning they have established.

sorry, I realized after I posted that I probably didn't come across with what I was meaning to say. Most people couldn't tell you what is on their helmets without looking up a picture on the internet. But that hasn't stopped them from succeding in football. So let's not put too much "importance" on the helmet.

I think the helmet with the U looks like a cross between the university of miami, louisiana tech, and the saints. I like the one with ragin' cajuns on it.

I love the Ragin' Cajuns there is no better name in sports. But I wish there was another place to put it on the uniforms because text on helmets looks cheap. Like we couldn't afford a logo.Originally posted by RaginCajunEQM

no but see our helmets now look different than the one pictured in this forum
it's not just a plain white decal that says ragin cajuns
it has some black and some white in it and it looks good
