Pick a favorite design for football helmets

i like the picture of the first helmet by far! the helmet with ragin cajuns on the side i don't like cause it just doesn't look like what goes on a football helmet, a logo looks better. the helmet with just u.l on it looks too plain. the first helmet also has ragin cajuns written on the back, for those in love with the ragin cajun name (me included), but you can put that as big as you like on the jersey. the first helmet is unique and simply looks better.

I like the Ragun Cajuns Logo. My all time favorite is the two stripes and USL logo! Felt very collegiate, without commercial overtones.

How about this compromise. I like stripes on a helmet. So, use the helmet with the UL design on the side and the white stripe. Only, put the UL design on the back of the helmet and keep the Ragin Cajuns on the sides. Sort of a reverse of what was presented. And, keep the stripe. For those who don't like the stripe, create a version with and without the stripe.

Can someone create both versions to see what they look like and which version might look better? I think one of these newer versions would look much better with out new uniforms than our present helmet. We need to capitalize on Ragin Cajuns, only improve the look of the helmet a bit with a newer version, as suggested.

Can whoever designed the new helmet make a revised design to include:

same red helmet with white stripe
the U and state of LA moves to the back of the helmet where Ragin Cajuns is
The Ragin Cajuns moves to the side of the helmet like our current design in white letters
make the helmet bars white instead of black

I think that combination would go better with our new uniforms. And, we keep the Ragin Cajuns for a clear identity, but have the UL on the back as well.

I chose the U with the Louisiana silhouette in between, but it's too complicated.

Since I think the very best helmet logos are Clemson's and Miami's, I think the best idea forwarded is the tri-fleur featured in my signature.

Only 2 helmet designs are worthy of THE UNIVERSITY OF LOUISIANA.

1)The Tri-Fleur, for a million reasons.

2)The interlocking UL as seen on the baseball caps.


Any other design is simply a temporary one until one of the above is adopted.

I have to say I love the three flower thingy myself but never on a UL football helmet.

I agree. But, keep the stripe down the middle, keep the face guard white, put Ragin Cajuns on each side and move the UL to the back of the helmet where Ragin Cajuns is. That would look much better than the other plain red helmets with just Ragin Cajuns on it.

I didn't read all the threads on this topic, but, are you guys going to have a new helmet design this year, or is this just brainstorming?
