Pick a favorite design for football helmets

I kinda like the newer logo design, but the U is just too Miami ish. I would however, like to see more black incorporated into our uniforms. That would make the logo all the more better. I think we should steer clear of the use of the pepper, but the addition of award stickers being little peppers would be a cool idea. You know, like Ohio St. and their Buckeyes plastered all over their helmets. That would be something to improve the look of the existing Ragin' Cajuns logo.

#1 OPTION:

Red helmet.

White facemask.

2 white stripes down the middle.

So far, this is the helmet of the Mitchell/Delhomme years.

Helmet logo would be the intersecting UL on the baseball caps. If we have to put lafayette on the helmet it could be on the back. The argument that people will confuse the L on the helmet with "lafayette" is a ruse. It doesn't hold water.

Award stickers would be little white fleur-de-lis.




#2 OPTION:

Red helmet.

White facemask.

2 white stripes.

Logo would be the tri-fleur. Same as what we had a few years ago only a little smaller in size and grouped a little more closer together.

Award stickers could be little peppers or little UL's.


These 2 helmets logos are, IMHO, the only logos worthy of THE UNIVERSITY OF LOUISIANA.

U LOUISIANA with Ragin' Cajuns to boot, YOU CAN'T BEAT THAT.

For the sake of straighforward design analysis, they are all shown in plain white.
Bells and whistle colors can be added.

RAGAIN CAJUNS logo, it has more recognition than the U - Lousisiana logo than anyone of the others. Remember, NO ONE ELSE CAN HAVE OR US OR BE " RAGIN CAJUNS except the University of Louisiana Ragin Cajuns.

i like the picture of the first helmet by far! the helmet with ragin cajuns on the side i don't like cause it just doesn't look like what goes on a football helmet, a logo looks better. the helmet with just u.l on it looks too plain. the first helmet also has ragin cajuns written on the back, for those in love with the ragin cajun name (me included), but you can put that as big as you like on the jersey. the first helmet is unique and simply looks better.

I like the Ragun Cajuns Logo. My all time favorite is the two stripes and USL logo! Felt very collegiate, without commercial overtones.

I liked that one as well.

How about this compromise. I like stripes on a helmet. So, use the helmet with the UL design on the side and the white stripe. Only, put the UL design on the back of the helmet and keep the Ragin Cajuns on the sides. Sort of a reverse of what was presented. And, keep the stripe. For those who don't like the stripe, create a version with and without the stripe.

Can someone create both versions to see what they look like and which version might look better? I think one of these newer versions would look much better with out new uniforms than our present helmet. We need to capitalize on Ragin Cajuns, only improve the look of the helmet a bit with a newer version, as suggested.
