Clarke commits to UL basketball

_ The fact that Clarke said he could see himself settling down in Lafayette after basketball says a lot to me. Our coaching staff makes a hell of an impression. Give these guys some more time and the sky is the limit. _

I hear what you are saying and I agree, however, I think that the city, facilities, culture, ladies and way of life here probably had more to do with his statement than the coaches since I'm sure he could care less about how good of a coach Marlin and staff are if he's talking about settling down after he's finished playing.

Lafayette is a great place. It's always translated into great recruiting in basketball and re spring sports, not so much in football

I consider those things a given, it's up to the coaches ,their staff, and players to make sure he see's them. He spoke highly of the coaches as well...If we start to recruit players that play to presigned expectations and play for the years that their signed for I'll be happy.

Lafayette is a good town; I moved here in 98', married a local girl, and haven't left.
