Thread: Saturday's loss tough to swallow as Cajuns' struggles continue

  1. Default Saturday's loss tough to swallow as Cajuns' struggles continue

Pondering how bad things could have been in UL's 34-14 loss to Middle Tennessee on Saturday if quarterback Dwight Dasher had been able to play. Here are some other thoughts, notes and observations on my mind after the loss. For the second straight year, ...

"set the tone" ? It didn't have to change how anything was played. It was a successful play with a blip at the end. I would go so far as to say besides causing the coaching staff to crawl into a shell that play DID NOT set the tone for the rest of the game.

It was the longest pass completion of the night, it certainly didn't set the tone in that department. (Besides causing the coaching staff to crawl into a shell)

There was only one more fumble the rest of the game it certainly didn't set the tone in that department. (Besides causing the coaching staff to crawl into a shell)

    I'm shell shocked.

I could not agree with you more. It was if the coaches thought the surprise was why it worked and could only be used once. This type of offense(passing) is what masson is best at. While I think he has a tendency to abandon the pocket and run into the outside rush on occasion a quick striking pass attack is very suited to his talents. It would also open the run for draws and screens when their defense tried to adjust to put more pressure on chris.

if he lets a play at the very beginning of the game set the tone of the whole 2 and a half to 3 hour game then he is a pathetic coach and should have never got hired. I am starting to despise this man more an more by every quote he says.
