"We had seen it all on film," said McCoy, who was in on four tackles including one for a loss. "We knew what was coming. We weren't getting lined up fast enough. And, we had two weeks to look at these guys."

"You saw a lot of us standing up," coach Rickey Bustle said. "That was by design, but it looked a little unorganized. We were moving up and down before the snap. Standing up and moving around was by design.
Design??? design lol Quit trying to save your ass Bustle and go back to Virginia.
When you have Grant Fleming trying to pump up the crowd and the whole defense looking at the sideline while the offense is set and about to snap the ball. that is not design, that is the defense not getting ready to play football and just lollygagging around. I have seen the technique he is describing and that is not what we were doing saturday. He is just trying to save his ass with that comment.
I agree, no excuses. Pack your bags Rickey.
EXACTLY. How about Devon Lewis- Buchanon jumping around, the next series after he lost contain and allowed the long run for TD. Or Dwight Bentley celebrating after he FINALLY did SOMETHING right, while we were down by 20?! Classless and stupid. The players don't get it either folks.

We need to quit trying to be something we're not. We are NOT a division I program. We do Not have a division I caliber coaching staff. We do NOT have division I caliber players.
It's time to get in the Southland Conference and compete against NW, SE, McNeese and the likes. If we are not going to commit to excellence in division I, then get out of it!!!!
Honestly if we decide to go the pathetic route of regression I would never watch another UL football game unless they fire The person that made that decision.
That is such a horrible and pathetic idea I don't even know why you would want to suggest that. that's like taking a job with so much less pay because you are too lazy to try to improve on what you are doing at the current level.
That would be such a huge embarrassment.
Let's pretend for a second that every year the FBS kicked out all the schools performing at the current UL level and below. OK? In 20 years the remaining 10 schools couldn't fill out a complete schedule.
Instead the most valuable part of FBS "The UL's of the world" need to quit playing so many money games in which they are afraid to bring their "A" game and two things will happen. (1) Their income will rise through the roof (2) The perception that they need to drop down to FCS will disappear.
We suffer from a mental illness. Every year we have the same caliber of coach, funding and players yet we expect different results. I've been on this elevator that only goes down for over 25 years and I don't see things changing. During the early Stokley years we had good reason to hope for better days. Every year we get excited about football for about three weeks and then it is over. When was the last time we actually hired a seasoned head coach?
