Thread: The Bustle situation

  1. Default The Bustle situation

Well decision time for Coach is getting close--- I just can't see us turning this thing around and the body language of the players show that SOMETHING is Wrong!!!!! What are the choices for the situation??? We are at one win that we barely pulled off and 2 losses that we got our ass handed to us! Do you fire Bustle now--- Give him to a point where we can't have a winning season---Hang in for the entire year and don't renew his contract????? Now there still is a chance to turn this around and go to a bowl game but that looks very slim on the reality chart------ The buyout would not be big bucks and the sooner he is terminated the sooner we get a new coach and staff to recruit---- Would you give him the rest of the year as a lame duck, get an interim Head Coach from the staff and have him assigned to another job at the University---- God I am so sick of getting beat---- What are the thoughts of the Ragin Paginers????

If it was up to me he would have been fired years ago! I don't see UL making a sudden change. He'll survive the season as long as there is "hope".

UL Football Re: The Bustle situation

I agree Bustle is packing his bags with performances like that one. Not many of us though would have put a "W" against MT this season, BUT to play that way with having TWO weeks to prepare is UNCALLED for!!!!

The Coaches and the Players should be embarrased with their performance, sad really sad!!!

This is Upsetting Re: The Bustle situation

Agreed, It just gets really fustrating to watch year after year the same old
stuff. Even Ms. Deb mentioned being fustrated after the game...DAMN that is not good.

Our first game, against Georgia, the reply was, "With a new defensive coordinator, there is no film to breakdown and analyze. We don't know what to prepare for."

The third game represents a foe with a coaching staff that is stable and reels (DVD or cassettes) on file to study for two weeks.

Oh we're reeling, we are reeling.

I'd fire him before this upcoming game, maybe it would be a spark so we are not embarrassed for remainder of the yr

nahhh wait til we lose to North Texas this weekend, get his record looking real pretty..

or even better wait til we are 1-5 coming back to homecoming. that way if we somehow beat western kentucky they dont get all excited and give him a new contract

As much as I would like to fire Bustle today, he should be allowed to complete this season. This would allow us time to do your research, interview, and make an excellent hire.

This argument has been put forth so many times in the past. If we lose to NT I think Bustle should be released and an immediate search begun. The administration has used timing in the past for not making a move.... i.e. we lose ground on recruiting. I think you cut ties now... begin a behind the scenes search to garner interest.. Move quickly on those who express interest as soon as their season ends.. and have a hire within 10 days of the season end

    And then I woke up

Basketball season is around the corner, baseball starts fall ball today. I need something quick to get this bad taste out of my mouth. Again I really believe we have the players (FOR THE MOST PART) in place to win. It's not the players. Next week will be a critical game for us. Hell I'll even be happy with the women's Tennis team winning.

We see how bad Georgia is as they continue to implode and they destroyed us. If we continue to play like this, there is no team on our schedule we can beat. Even WKU is competitive and UNT just beat FAU. The OSU game on national tv is now very scary. They put up 65 on Tulsa. What will they do to us? Just another embarrasing moment in UL football history for the whole country to see. How much of this crap do we have to take? Nine years and counting. Bowl or bust this year. How about BUST already?
