Thread: Instead of blaming Bustle....

    Default Instead of blaming Bustle....

I'm gonna put blame where it needs to be put.....Masson. He has the pocket presence of a child stuck in a closet. Airmails easy throws. I watched him perform so many QB no-no's it wasn't funny. And the one drive we did run the ball....we scored. Ricky's main failure was his playcalling. And please someone correct me, if he doesn't call the plays then the person who does needs to be dragged out and beaten. When your QB isn't making the throws, and the other team is blitzing blatantly.....RUN A DRAW!!!!! Mind numbingly stupid play calling.

The defense did everything they could. When we came out of half, down by one score, that first drive of the second half broke our backs. We had momentum, and due to that first three and out it sucked all the air out of that stadium. Masson was so ineffective in every aspect. The coaching staff was so hell bent on pass, pass, and then pass so more, we missed an opportunity to take control of the game in the second half. I place this loss, partially on the offensive coaching staff, but a huge major slab of screw up steak on Masson's plate. I don't care if anyone of you tries to tell me, "how can you say that about a student athlete?" ______ that s--t. Go out there and earn your scholarship, and try not to look like a scared little girl when you get blitzed.

It's Gauthier time, I don't give a ______ about our chances this year, with Masson, we don't have any chances at a Bowl game. We have a raw sophomore with potential in Gauthier. No better time than now. If Ricky knows what's good for him and his latest "extension," he will realize that number 7 equals awful. He stays with Masson, pack your bags and update your resume.

Masson was the biggest Sh-t tree in the forest. Bustle didn't airmail easy passes, and look like my 9 year old niece in the pocket. Place blame where it should be placed.

I have been critical of Bustle. And maybe Jay is partial to Bustle, but honestly guy's, Bustle isn't the biggest problem we have. Fielding Yost would have a hard time coaching Postman Masson and his little girl pocket presence.

Which brings us back to my original question, who decided to start Masson? I agree with you 100% that Gautier should be starting.

My only gripe is we run a read offense with a QB that doesn't throw very well and doesn't like to run.

defense did all they could??? by trying to one arm tackle on every play?

    THINGS I SAW TODAY:

Offense that can't catch, can't hold onto the ball, can't or doesn't want to block...

Yes, a quarterback who over-throws everyone, locks in on one receiver, pitches the option WAY too soon, drops like a baby as soon as he sees the defense closing in on him...

Defense that can't tackle, doesn't focus (such as the play when our guy whiffed on the QB and the runningback ran past him like a fool)...

Special teams that can't punt, can't kick, and can't cover or tackle for anything...

And last but not least a team that returns to the sidelines after every play and disperses among themselves to chatting away again, no coaches talking or getting in any players faces...

It all comes down to ZERO DISCIPLINE and that my friends goes back to the HEAD COACH

Your right Bustle did start Masson. But lets see his options coming into the season. Masson only healthy guy with experience. McGuire was hurt. Gauthier was at one time suspended and also hurt at the beginning of the season. So it was Masson or nothing. Kinda.

You can be upset about the performance... and in some cases, yes, it is their fault. WAKE UP MAN!!!!! BUSTLE RECRUITED HIM (although I like masson). BUSTLE CALLED THE PLAYS! WEAK ASS PLAYS!!! IT ALL FALLS ON THE COMMANDER!!!!!!!! You can call Masson a little girl running around, BUT IT'S BUSTLE _______!!!

It baffles me how we could look so good for 3 quarters against Ark. St. And then play like we did tonight. Its the story of Bustles career here.

I'm not talking about coming into the season. I'm talking about tonight. Masson wasn't very good against Georgia and was far short of spectacular against Arkansas State. Gautier's injury at the beginning of the season wasn't enough to keep him out of either of the first two games. As for McGuire, I think he got hurt while practicing at running back (I could be completely wrong about this, but I do remember him taking reps at this position in the spring because of excessive injuries. The fact that coaches would ever allow their number two quarterback to be practicing at running back never sat well with me). By the way, Bustle's ineptitude to make a change at the quarterback position has been a problem for several years.
