FLORIDA — The Florida-Louisiana High School Football All-Star Classic will be held on Saturday, June 12 in Orlando, Fla. and will feature several players from the Acadiana area.
Among the players on the Louisiana roster from the Acadiana area are defensive end Alton Boudreaux of Lafayette High (Texas A&M), punter Brad Dalfrey of Carencro (LSU), Notre Dame’s linebacker J.T. Casanova (McNeese St.), offensive lineman Ben Leonards (UL Lafayette) and Catholic High of New Iberia’s quarterback Michael Desormeaux (UL Lafayette), kicker Stokka Brown and defensive lineman Josh Mitchell (UL Monroe).
Boudreaux and Dalfrey are considered to be two of the top three players on the team from Louisiana, with the third player being receiver Mark Dillard of Glen Oaks, who has signed with Louisiana Tech.
Two other UL Lafayette signees Parkview Baptist linebacker Brenton Burkhalter and John Curtis offensive lineman Matt Luwe will also play in the game for team Louisiana.
The game is scheduled to being at 7 p.m. at the Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex Field D.
