These guys are still very dangerous. Now, with their backs against the wall....we better beware.
This.....deserves a really good crowd!

Many times, the supposed "lesser" of our two teams wins the game in this series.
Are we looking at another nailbiter, or even (gasp) overtime game ?
Throw the records out the window when it's Cajuns vs. Blue Raiders.
I think the game will come down to turnovers given up, and unfortunately (for us) MT is currently leading the nation in that infamous category.
Raider, I was at the marathon (3?) overtime game at UMT a few years back. I was freezing my butt off! I was really glad we won, but also extremely relieved it was over. That game was a classic and tailgating with you guys was great, especially the gumbo. I wish I could be there this weekend (I am livng out of the country), but be sure and vist my buddies at the Oak tree. They will fix you up with some necessities before the game. Have fun this weekend everyone!
I am not sure which team is the "lesser" of the two here. MT is of course different without Dasher and has OL injury problems. It is also not a definite he won't be cleared. MT was not the pre season conference favorite for nothing. They have talent across the board. Cajuns meanwhile were picked in the middle of the pack and we don't know if our team is most like the one which played poorly in Athens or the team which played well in the first quarter against ASU. We also have OL injury problems of our own and a contributor at DE is suspended. Looks to me like both squads could argue the other should be favored. As far as turnovers go, some of that is statistically based and just plain luck. You will have so many turnovers in a season and the fact a lot have occurred for the Raiders already likely means they will have few in their upcoming games
If I understand correctly, it is not definite yet. That article was written on Monday and Middle's appeal still needs to be discussed. I was listen to Nuttin' But Cajuns yesterday where Jay had on Middle's play-by-play guy and he said that the committee who handles appeals is scheduled to meet about it tomorrow. So we shouldn't know something definite until late Thursday or early Friday.
shame on me for not listening to NBC!
Why even mention overtime? Like many Blue Raider fans, I will never forget the 4OT game in Murfreesboro. Just in case you were wondering, that was Emma's first trip to the Boro. :-)

Middle Tennessee was picked as the preseason favorite to win the Sun Belt Conference title.
About two months after that projection and just as their Sun Belt opener approaches, the Blue Raiders lack many of the key ingredients that made them the popular preseason pick.

The word just came down: Dasher lost his appeal and will not play Saturday.
