Marlin Madness Begins November 12th in the Cajun Dome

I have been a Cajuns fan of every sport all my life and remember in my younger years that UL basketball used to have like a pre-game party under the covered entrance before each weekend home game. Bands played outside, beer trucks outside, basketball goals set up outside for shooting competitions and for fun for the kids. I remember having quite good crowds then and I must have been in pre-teen or early teen years. Why not have UPC and the university try something like that. And I kinda like the "marlin madness" thing... Football used "Bustle Up" for the first couple years... I can't wait for basketball, after football is done of course.

I was there for all of them. We filled it up for big games like Houston, LA Tech or NIT games, but I don't believe average attendance was a sellout. That said, I haven't checked the record books.

But even with that at Blackham, wouldn't that be between 6 & 7,000. Would they have filled the Cajundome? It wasn't too too long ago when we did average over 5k for cnference games, maybe even cose to 6k.

Winning with style will bring them in and I believe we will have the winning style!
