After tremendous 12-4 win against OU, team later falls 15-0
LOUISIANA La. — Louisiana came agonizingly close to a second straight trip to the Women’s College World Series on Sunday but couldn’t take the final step to Oklahoma City.
The Ragin’ Cajuns defeated Oklahoma 12-4 in a thrilling NCAA Region I championship round at the University of Arizona, heard only by radio by the fans here. But the Sooners rebounded to hand the weary Cajuns a 15-0 defeat.
It was a disappointing end to the season for the Cajuns, who despite a No. 9 national ranking, were assigned a No. 5 seed in the most difficult region in the NCAA Tournament.
