Even though the ladies got swamped in the second game, they have nothing to be ashamed of. Being put in the 5th spot was designed to have either the first or second seed triumphing. However, the ladies made the top two seeds work for it. I guess its like Z said, they just ran out of gas. If you can look down the road this team should be even better next year. The two freshmen pitchers will have a year under their belt and should reduce the wear and tear on Brooke. If we can pick up some more hitters we could play havoc in the softball world. Having said that, who amongst the biggies are willing to schedule us?

Don't let this regional get to your heads. You were LUCKY to have beat Arizona. The only reason you did was because of the injury to one of the top players. But,....in the end, your SOS and weak conference schedule came through as usual. By the way, the softball world does NOT revolve around the university of louisiana @ lafayette! You think we will steer away from you for next year? NOT! How 'bout the teams on the west coast, i.e. Pac10? NOT! The SEC? NOT! The ACC? Nah! Like I said, don't let what you did in this regional get to your collective heads. So you had us on the ropes for one game. Big deal! The superiority came through in the end, as it should from a major conf. team You need to join a real conference and get out of the Southland conf. ( or is it Sunbelt??). Either way, to compete with the big boys and big girls of the Major conferences in the end, you need to play with the big boys and big girls throughout the season. Just look at the results.

BoomerSooner - its funny you post after the 2nd game. Where were you after the 1st game.

I dont care what conference a team plays in, 60 wins in a season is an accomplishment. Our girls showed heart all season long. They played great and we all are proud of them.
