Men's Hoops 2010-11 Schedule Unveiled

The University of Louisiana men's basketball team released its 2010-11 season schedule on Saturday. The schedule is highlighted by a home-and-home series with New Mexico State and road games at Creighton and Houston

In reviewing this schedule, I noticed that we have two December games on Sunday afternoons. That is not a problem except for start times of 2:15. On Dec. 12 that will compete with the Saints who play at 3 in the Dome against St. Louis that day. It would be wise to move the basketball game to 12:30 if possible. On Dec. 19, the Saints play at noon against Baltimore. Basketball game should be moved to 4 PM if possible. I know this is a Cajun board. However reality is that the Saints override everything in South Louisiana at this time in history and other ventures need to adjust accordingly.

This is because some people had to relive the "glory years" of ECHL hockey.

There's no way that they'll put enough AIS for hockey to justify the damage they are doing to Basketball.

My understanding is hockey is moving back to the Dome this year.

What the puck!!!! I thought this was the cajundome, not the icegatordome. Let them move there schedule around us.

  Bob Marlin's first season as the UL men's basketball coach officially opens on Nov. 12 with a non-conference matchup against NCAA tournament team New Mexico State at the Cajundome.

Coming off a 13-17 season, the Ragin' Cajuns will also play host to non-conference opponents Louisiana College (Nov. 15), Cleveland State (Nov. 19), Texas College (Dec. 12), Lamar (Dec. 19) and Centenary (Jan. 19).

Whoa. Let's stop for a second.

Someone here suggested that perhaps the Sunday start times were because of hockey (and that was without any information) and now everyone is going nuts.

One of those Sundays is a doubleheader so I know hockey has nothing to do with it.

I've seen some animosity on both message boards about the shared use of the Cajundome. IceGator fans don't want have to have to schedule around UL. UL fans don't want to schedule around the IceGators.

Here I am caught in the middle.
