LOUISIANA La. — Louisiana junior Craig Trahan, the Ragin’ Cajuns’ top individual finisher in the squad’s final three regular-season tournaments, was named Friday to the All-Louisiana collegiate men’s golf team announced by the La. Sports Writers Association.

Trahan, a junior from New Orleans, was one of five first-team picks on the squad selected by an LSWA panel, after finishing his season with a 74.05 stroke average in 17 spring rounds.

Trahan, who did not qualify for any of the Cajuns’ fall events, finished second on the squad and 24th overall in UL Lafayette’s own Louisiana Classics tournament (74-75-74—223, +7) at Oakbourne Country Club. He followed that by leading the Cajuns at the Carter Plantation Intercollegiate, the LSU Spring Invitational and the Arkansas State Indian Classic.

He tied for third overall at the Carter Plantation meet with a 74-73-70—217 (+1) score and shot even par (71-71-74—216) at the LSU meet before a one-over 72-73—145 score at the ASU tournament. He played those eight consecutive rounds in a total of two over par.
