Very sad news indeed. My thoughts and prayers go out to Coach Hall's family.

Wow, sad news indeed. We lost a real UL Ragin Cajun Supporter. I always enjoyed reading his post and thought highly of him for sharing some of his thoughts here on this forum. May God bless he and his family.

A chill went down my spine last night when I heard the news. I don't know how long I sat there motionless. Absolutely too early. The University should do something for his family and his name...I'm thinking a name change to the gym is a must (That way he'll always be on campus).

Like everyone else, deep down I expected to see him back.

Such shocking news. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Life is just too short for some.

    Condolences from the MT Nation.

He will be greatly missed. A wonderful guy, and very good friends with our HC Rick Insell.

    Awful news.

I think his last words ever on RaginPagin.com should become the mantra for all fans of UL. His last words on the subject of becoming known as Louisiana were "THINK BIG" J. Kelley Hall

Coach Hall's participation on here while he was coach goes against the grain a little bit, but that probably contributed to his success. He was a trailblazer for sure. What he did with our program is nothing short of a miracle. I too was hoping he would come back. I think he genuinely appreciated the maturity on this board when he announced that he was leaving for Cincinnati. As I recall, the general consensus here was "we don't want you to leave but, yeah, you gotta take that job." Not what you typically hear from a fan base. I bet that's why he always came back on to check in with us. Too short. Too soon. god bless you, coach.

Coach Hall got it right. I'm down with "Think Big". It says everything we need to strive to be. Parting words of wisdom from a great coach.

Rest in Peace Coach Hall. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Don't know where to start. Prime example of someone who left a great impression on our University and I feel we did the same for his family. My prayers to Meredith and the kids.

It wasn't just about being a coach but someone with conviction, honor, drive and an outlook on life that we should all strive for.

Turbine - Might be nice to put some of the postings together from here for Meredith and the kids.
