Thread: McGuire officially ruled out

  1. UL Football McGuire officially ruled out

Brad McGuire's status is official for UL's season-opener on Saturday against nationally ranked Georgia: The junior quarterback will not play due to a left foot injury.

McGuire, who was working recently as the No. 2 quarterback behind junior starter Chris Masson, met with a team doctor on Wednesday. But no decision has yet been made about his long-term status, at least publicly.

  2. UL Football Re: McGuire officially ruled out

As many of you can understand, Brad is totally bummed out about this. He has been working thru it for the last 3 weeks but it has not improved. Was especially sore after the saturday scrimmage. The doctor he has seen is leaning toward surgery, but they (UL) are going to get another opinion today so we will have to wait and see. As far as being a Dad this really sucks. In my opinion he was looking pretty good during last saturdays scrimmage considering it was his second day working as QB. He was a lot rusty but what can you expect. From RB to QB in one day.
At any rate-----------it still sucks, for Brad, team and the whole Cajun Nation.
Still looking forward to the Georgia game.
We are still team, so GEUAX-CAJUNS' Geaux!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brad's has paid his dues Mr. Mac, that's probably the most disappointing thing, after his previous injury. Hope you come by next week and visit for the ASU game.
