10/29/04 RUSTON, La. - Louisianan Tech head baseball coach Wade Simoneaux will be the featured speaker at the National American Legion Convention on Saturday.

The speaking engagement will take place in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Simoneaux just completed putting his Bulldogs through he fall practice period and the team will open the season on February 4th at McNeese State.

Prior to coming to Tech, Simoneaux had a lot of success as an American Legion head coach with four World Series appearances and nine state titles in 11 summers.

gotta love (no pun to the name of his stadium up there.. grins) his picking the seahawks to beat the rams.. (tee-hee) when he mentioned when @ mcNeese that he was going to tell his team there was no super bowl being played i knew it would be 50/50 @ best that he'd get my jist.. he quickly came around though.. gonna do it again before then.. may have to check in a few minutes evry day or so as the 11th of february gets closer..
