RENO, Nev.- Nevada battered Louisiana Tech pitching with 22 hits as the Wolf Pack opened a three game Western Athletic Conference baseball series with a 19-3 victory over Tech on Friday afternoon at Peccole Park.

Nevada scored in the first six innings, building a 19-1 lead before Tech scored two runs in the eighth to make the score 19-3.

Tech was hoping to avenge a 27-9 loss in the two team's last meeting on April 10th in Ruston but that did not occur on Friday.

Game two of the series is Saturday at 3 p.m.

Are you hearing anything different from your contacts at Tech? Do you think this is just posturing until after all of the WAC meetings are completed to make the point that they (Tech) did not leave the WAC without giving the WAC a legitimate chance to find regional partners for them?

I don't find that to be the case. It's the guys for the most part that talk up sports, not girls. Check out that other forum - it's pure nut-like.

i just keep thinking..

at most.. tech has only been working on "what's next" for 2 weeks.. and more likely 11 days.. deadline w/out any penalty is june 30th.. correct?
