Record rainfall of 5.3 inches was set Sunday afternoon in Alexandria. This breaks the old record of 5.03 inches set in 1978.

Low pressure off the coast moved inland bringing strong storms and heavy rains to Acadiana and Central Lousiana. Iberia and St Mary Parishes were the wetest but below the original forecast totals.

The strongest weather stayed offshore. Most areas received less than a half inch.
