One Marine gave a Korean kid who was too eager to try all of their stuff a saltine cracker with Tabasco... thinking it would run him off... but he and every one of his little friends constantly harrassed them for "Tabasco crackers". Some may not realize just how long Tabasco has been a part of soldiers' meal packages. _

The McIlheney's have a long history of military service and one of them was a Marine officer in WWII. His helmet with a dent from a Jap sword is on display at the D-Day Museum.

Yeah, at some point they stopped putting those little bottles of Tabasco in C-Rats. In the early 80's we had to buy our own. God help you if you drew the dreaded Lima Beans C-Rat and didn't have any Tabasco.

I was in the Corps in the early eighties and that is right we did not have any seasoning in the c-rats. I guess my second year we started getting MREs. Still nothing to season them. So we always had to carry our own. Or you just ate the dreaded stuff as it was. It is a great thing that the University has teamed up with tabasco. Its a win win for both parties involved. Last year I went on a business trip to Italy. We went to a hole in the wall Pizza joint in Milan. On the menu: Tabasco Pizza.

Not at the Country Store on the island. We went out there for lunch and to pick up some things yesterday. They still only have the shirt from last year.

I fully support the partnership...I hope this blossoms into something that gets bigger in time. BUT why why why do we keep putting yellow on anything UL? Neither Tabasco nor UL have yellow as an official color. I don't get it.

Louisiana Hot Stuff doesn't have them yet either. But I did pick up another nice shirt and wallet.
