Softball Stadium Update

_ Mr Frenchie, I take exception about your commits on the solfball park. This is a typical government project. It is slow. However, complaining about this and not giving one penny to RCAF is not solving the problem. I am calling you out on this, because it is the right thing to do.

Also, ask any of the girls, coachs and staff. Even thou the Lady Cajun Softball Park in not yet complete, it is still the nicest park they have played this year by a long shot!! _

This opinion and the sentiments that you express are exactly the ones that have helped to get this country in the predicament that it is in today.

I don't give a rats _____ if it nicer than what others are playing in. It is my tax dollars going to fund this project and if I want to complain then YOU can shut up and take it.

I take pictures once in a while just to show them to the ones that can't visit. Like out of town or state. (I just ended that) I have never called Scott Farmer and complained. I express my opinion on whats being done or what's not being done. And yes I am one on many that raise some concern about the pace of this job or lack of. Like I said today, no one working yesterday and today. This job will not be finish this season. Why. Their next home game is on the 26 of March. It will not be finish. Then you have several home games. No work that amount to anything will be done. The roof can't be installed. The steel can't be put up. I was told it would take at least 2 full weeks of work for that. Why aren't they laying bricks now? They have a wall in front that needs to be completed........I know, state job, it will be great when finish.

Well Turb and the rest. You may have just renewed my faith in the ones that do appreciat a few shots now and than.........The pictures were not to take a shot at the contractor. Just for our eyes only..........

I think there are a number of items involved with the construction that is not released to the public. My suggestion for those who want to know what's going on with the stadium contact Scott Farmer or speak with the coaches at one of the practice sessions and get their thoughts on the matter. I've never been a proponent of looking at the positive side of what's going on with our university when everyone else is reducing budgets and closing facilities rather than looking at what isn't done.

_ There were a many of us that did a lot of work as volunteers a few years back with Gerald Hebert. (We dismantled the old baseball stadium and carted it off in about 6 hours). Gerald had "professional" volunteers doing all kinds of work. I know that I can mount seats. I know that he had guys that could lay bricks. I'd be willing to help finish the job as a volunteer if the contractor will refund some of the money back to the university......... _

And guess what???? ----it was kind of a kick in the ass----All the group talking bull and having some great food and refreshments----Even had some guys hitting on Neustrom's female inmates I think!!!!!LOL

As a softball season ticket holder I for one am not at all happy with the progress of the Stadium. I remember talking to Scott Farmer at the end of last season and he said it would be finished in november. Well that was over three months ago. After the game the night of the 15, there was no lighting under the bleachers. A woman fell and we had to block the people comming up behind us because they could not see her. It would not be a good thing to have fans get hurt and then sue the university because no one wants to make the contractor mad.

I tend to be an optimist about these things. And I think that all of you season ticket holders have a right to be upset. The only suggestion that I can offer would be 1) call Farmer and see what is going on. 2) call the contractor personally 3) call your state representative and have them bug the contractor in their official capacity.

I am as guilty as anyone at coming on here to air my grievances. But, if anyone can provide me with info on the contractor I will gladly write letters to their president expressing my displeasure.
