Louisiana Tech would be a great addition to the Belt.

I think it would be entirely their choice.

Actually they would be good for football and great for womens basketball.

But without them in the Belt, Louisiana will probably be able to win the all sports trophy more times than not.

Tech had some great seasons in football, but they're still a small public school in a small TV market. If we face reality, in the end that alone will kill you. Tech will come into the Belt and help to form a strong core with UL, N. Texas, & Ark State. In a couple years or so this core will merge with strong programs from another conference.

I think Tech would be a great addition to the Belt. It would make our rivalry every year in football even better.

The Belt does not NEED Tech, but they would be a great addition!

I agree that the Belt doesn't need Tech, today. If they do rejoin it strengthens the conference, and will help a lot should others defect (WKU, MTSU to MAC rumor, etc). It would also align 4 of the top Belt programs nearby; UL, LT, NT & ASU. That's a good nucleus in a fairly tight region.
Personally, I want them back. Its great to have the rivalry -- someone you love to hate :<))

I do, it is a great rivalry and good for our conference. let's face it they do have a decent football and basketball team and there lady techsters are great, everything else is so, so. Besides Coach Simoneaux , tech's baseball coach would make it a good baseball team. I do get the impression that some tech fans feel it would be a set back for their program but hey who wants to travel to Ruston, La. anyway. It would be good to have them back in the conference.

If we got an offer WE would be the first to leave! You can't blame Tech for wanting a better confrence than the Sun Belt just like you cant blame us for wanting a better confrence.
