That is my opinion. They both knew the ramifications of "toying" with the NFL. This is a powerful and classy organization with a tremendous amount of clout and support. A rule is a rule (see the BCS vs. the AP for the 2003 NC!) and if they would somehow be allowed back into school, then it should be at a D-IAA or less. NOT a major school (back to USC, etc.) If this happens, there will be "punks" trying their luck every year around draft time and it will only get worse. There may be a day when the Supreme Court decides not to rule in favor of the NFL. Who knows!? Clarett is nothing but trouble. Mike Williams,.......followed Claretts lead relative to making himself eligible for the draft. Shame on him! Nobody to blame but himself and the worthless agent that BS'd him into declaring early! If only MLB and the NBA would have high morals (sort of,...anyway) like the NFL! MLB baseball as it is today is a joke and a waste of TV air space (in my opinion). (i.e. Barry Bonds taking a night off due to being tired after playing in 13 straight games!!!) What would he do if he worked 40 hrs a week or had a 7 & 7 job? He is a bum and a whinny cry baby just like the rest of them! Don't get me started on the NBA! Now there is a waste of a sport! Both of these sports are crying "foul" because they MIGHT get randomly drug tested!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Try working in the REAL world and see what happens. If you don't use illegal drugs, then what's the worry? You and all of us that read this board know darn good and well that if we showed up to work on any given day, we may get randomly drug tested. Now, try to avoid the test and or complain that it is not fair. WE WOULD GET TERMINATED IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!
No kid right out of high school should be allowed to get drafted or make themselves eligible for ANY type of professional sport BEFORE attending some sort of college for at least 3 (THREE!!!!!!) years. MLB has ruined MANY a young mans' carreer by drafting them right out of high school. How many actually make it? Yes there are some, but very few!! Sorry folks, but you touched a nerve with me about professional sports!
