How many were over fifty yards in 2009? Masson had at least one the length of the field I know of it was fun leading the country in 2008. I'm ready for some 2010 statistics.

There were three offensive TDs of at least 50 yards. (Bentley had a 70-yard interception return for a score against North Texas.)
A 56-yard pass from Masson to Sails against Southern, a 57-yard pass from Masson to Aubrey against Troy and a 91-yard pass from McGuire to Green against Troy.
I'm guessing that what Foo Foo was saying is that if Masson is such a workout warrior (which I believe to be true) then why would he enter fall camp weighing less than in the spring? I think the goal of the workout statement is that he would increase in weight rather than lose it due to all of the weightlifting right?
He arrived at 185 and is now 203, so the workout warrior theory isn't thrown out. Keep in mind that most people at his size can have their weight fluctuate by as many as four or five pounds if they don't stay properly hydrated. He might have felt a little heavy at 211 last year and decided to shed a few pounds.
I understand. However the dehydration thing usually comes into play during camp or after camp, not before they've even practiced. However, I do understand about him arriving 20 pounds lighter and seen good gains. Its obvious when you see him that he's put on some good weight in his time here. I would have thought that he would have wanted to be in the 210-215 range but who knows. Either way, I think Masson is going to have a good year
To end all doubt, I will ask Masson how much he weighs at the scrimmage. The school's information could have been wrong, but I doubt it since the other heights and weights were accurate.
Are you thinking that Chris would want to be a little bulkier for handling the ball carrying side of his role? If it turns out he's gotten quicker, even with weight loss, I'm happy with that. I want us to steer toward a smarter accurate ball distribution QB (even with the zone read or read option) that runs in open space, but leaves the banging in traffic to others.
Ends up Chris is now 210. Roster has wrong weight. Problem solved.

With the zone option, there is no leaving out the "traffic" as it is a one read offense and the QB must take it around the end. He's going to get hit and that's for sure. We saw it happen with Babb, Desormeaux and he's about the same size and in this offense, the QB will always be an elevated injury risk. Yes, I'm suggesting that if he's able to maintain speed and quickness, why not add the additional 10-15 pounds that will help with the banging around. Also, when you are a workout warrior, you typically add weight, not lose it. After standing next to Chris some weeks ago, I figured there was no way he had lost weight as he's gotten bigger and bigger in his time here.
Sometimes the info provided is wrong. Not sure why it happened, but the issue is resolved.
