On Tuesday, Louisiana practiced in full pads marking the first such occurrence for Fall Camp 2010. Both the offense and defense maneuvered through the spirited workout which came underneath clear skies. The humidity was high and the temperature rose, but the heat index wasn't a factor and the Cajuns took several breaks to rest in the shadows of the Leon Moncla Indoor Practice Facility.
The intensity rose as the squad ran through the always heated "middle drill" for approximately 10 minutes. The defense made several stops early on pushing through the line, but the offense eventually broke through tackles with a few long yardage runs.
The Cajuns will take to the practice field twice on Wednesday. The squad will meet at 8 a.m., and go through a walk through designed more for instruction. After a mid-afternoon break, the players put the pads back on for the first "two-a-day" practice at 3:30 p.m.
