HAMMOND — Louisiana’s Laurie Bridges earned second-team recognition on the All-Louisiana collegiate men’s basketball team, announced Wednesday by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association.
Bridges was the top local honoree after averaging 10.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists for the Sun Belt champions.
Also recognized on the 15-man team were the Cajun duo of Brian Hamilton and Antoine Landry, as well as St. Martinville’s Darrel Mitchell of the LSU Tigers as third-team selections.
Hamilton averaged 11.7 points, 7.2 rebounds and shot 59.4 percent from the field, while Landry was the Cajuns’ leading scorer with 12.8 points on 58 3-pointers.
Mitchell was joined on the squad by LSU teammate Brandon Bass on the first team.
