A University of Louisiana four-year letterman in football, All-Conference player twice from 1963-1966 Gerald Landry epitomizes what Ragin Cajun football is all about.
Gerald Landry made his mark as one of those rare triple position athletes, a kicker on special teams, a receiver on offense, and rover type DB on defense.
Known as "Boomer" to teammates and friends alike Gerald "Boomer" Landry holds the all-time UL record for most extra points, and is the current record holder for consecutive field goals.
This last year Gerald was inducted into Louisiana's S-Club Hall of Fame, a home for the elite of the elite of Ragin' Cajun athletics.
One of the prerequisites for induction is graduation from UL. Gerald Landry easily qualifies, he received a B.S. in Marketing and an M.A. in Education from the University of Louisiana. He truly deserves his place in the Hall of Fame.
