La. fishermen uncertain about the government’s “smell tests”
GULF OF MEXICO - As some of Louisiana’s seafood fishing areas have reopened local fishermen have been hauling in fish that smell strange. Crude oil splotches, mostly like remnants of the toxic chemical dispersants, are still washing up on the protective booms, in the marshes, and in the reopened fishing grounds east of the Mississippi River.
