In the blog you asked if we thought Yvette has the right to withhold her release. Of course by ncaa rules she has the right, but that doesn't make it right. As you pointed out in your blog we have not withheld the release of any of our players who have left to go there. Hopefully she will relent and grant the kid her release.
It's all about the plaque.
I'm sure Ms. Hollier or her family has no knowledge of its whereabouts, so no need to punish them.
It's OK. I didn't take it as such. Just wanted to make the question a little clearer for everyone!
I think we have a winner with the previous post ...
But Yvette also does not want a reputation of denying transfers. It makes her look extremely small and petty. These transfers are almost always granted and when they are not, it makes the coach look extremely bad. I am sure we have not heard the last of this. I also think the bad publicity it will generate within the state softball circles will tilt even more Louisiana softball players to UL. Yvette is telling every softball player that you come to LSU but if you are unhappy and it is just not working out, I will make it as difficult as I can for you to transfer. This story has the possiblity of making LSU softball and Yvette look very bad and could have wide ranging impacts on both softball programs. I also like that Ms. Hollier has taken it up with Joe Alleva the LSU AD. This will put the higher ups at LSU in a tough decision. They either support Yvette's decision thereby supporting her pettiness and absorb the PR hit or they overrule the decision of a head coach.
This doesn't surprise me. Yvette has been petty for quite a while now.

I don't think that the AD would go against a coaches descision, unless she is on thin ice with the university and she is possibly on her way out. With that said, I would doubt the decision is overturned. I would be curious to research if other interstate rivals block transfers from one school to the other?
