  1. Default UL to add on-campus housing units

LAFAYETTE — The University of Louisiana is moving forward with plans to create an additional 2,600 on-campus housing units, said Jerry Luke LeBlanc, UL vice president of finance and administration.

The 2,600 units will be constructed in two phases and details of the plans are still in the works, LeBlanc said.

I lived in the dorms my first two years at U(S)L and enjoyed the entire experience. That was also back when there were a lot of students going to home football games. I do think there was a strong correlation then and think there would be now also!

I did live away from Lafayette during the time the dorms "died". Does anybody know why the dorms dissapeared? Too old? Not thought of as needed?
