Louisiana La. — Senior Michael Tarkowski made his long-awaited spring debut, as UL Lafayette’s No. 53-ranked Ragin’ Cajun men’s tennis team defeated Troy State 6-1 Sunday at Cajun Courts.

The win improves UL Lafayette to 8-7, while the loss drops Troy State to 7-11 overall.

“Today was a total team effort,” UL coach Justin McGrath said. “I thought, as a team, it was the best we’ve played all year.”

In singles, No. 87-ranked Corduneanu needed three sets to knock off Morales 6-4, 1-6, 6-4. Singh defeated Basic at the No. 2 spot 6-4, 6-2. Ley defeated Harfield 7-5, 6-2.
